Every once in a while you have the luck of discovering something new. By chance, I found pure (something).; a new and relatively unknown couture line. The designer's name is Kathryn Bass, and her design studio is currently based in British Columbia. Like every successful artist, her concepts are based on freedom, evolution, and change.

Kathryn is a graduate of the intensive program at the Helen Lefeaux School of Fashion Design in Vancouver. After graduation, she moved to Montreal to attend Collegé Lasalle, receiving an Attestation in Fashion Design.

The combination of being educated from these two schools has given her the depth to focus on both the fine points of design as well as in-depth technical, drafting, and sewing expertise.

Kathryn's label, pure (something). is aptly named as it is adaptable to fit the client's unique and individual needs. Each design is like an art piece, tailored to the client's requirements, but influenced by Kathryn's styling. She prefers to reference, rather than follow, tradition. She often creates her own unique fabrics using surface design techniques, ensuring that each piece will truly be one of a kind. She will personally meet with you to discuss your needs, your budget, and design tastes that will reflect your personality, among other things.
